10 years?!

Yes.  We still hold hands in the car.

Is marriage always 100% perfect?  No, don't be silly.  There will be occasional arguments, disagreements and disappointments but you learn to communicate and compromise.  When I say compromise I mean the hubby always agreeing the wifey is right.  Kidding. Kind of.  No but seriously, you give a little and you take a little.  You learn to love their differences even if it's not how you would do it because, well, that's what makes them unique and who they are.  It's ok that Dave isn't handy because I am and we don't need two handy people in the house.  Would it be a bonus?  Of course!  I'm instead glad that Dave handles paying all of the bills, mows the lawn, takes out the garbage (especially the smelly poopy diapers), washes dishes , always fills up our gas tanks (yes even mine).  I think there was a stretch where I hadn't gassed up the car in over 2 years, because I'm lazy?!  No, because Dave enjoys taking care of me.  Most of all I'm glad he's a present husband and father.  He deeply enjoys being around our family and I'll take that over him being handy any day.  We truly have a wonderfully rare marriage and part of its because we have two of the best examples right in our parents.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary to my lifetime love.  You complete me and are in every way perfect for me.  To many more years of wedded bliss!

Now onto the extra fun part.  VEGAS BABY!!  Our anniversary venture took us out to sin city!!  Lights, energy, extravagance, we loved it ALL (minus the sewer smell that randomly slapped us in the face on the streets)!  Vegas welcomed us with open arms and we barreled forward with a big giant bear hug!  A hug that you didn't want to ever let go of.  Although, Vegas literally tried to hold onto us forever because our flight back home was delayed about 5 hours.  We didn't let that ruin the fun we had over the past 3 days.  Although that's 5 hours we could've been enjoying Vegas but I'm not bitter about it.

The hotels, WOW, so luxurious!  The Wynn and the Encore were so extravagant, it was such a site to see!  The flowers were hypnotizingly beautiful.  I literally think I was hypnotized while walking through those two hotels.  I was in awe and overflowing with tranquility.  I didn't realize how much power flowers had over me.  The carousel and hot air balloon were even made of flowers in these pictures.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip, a picturesque waterfall outside of the Wynn hotel.

I truly enjoyed the uniqueness of each hotel.  The theme and ambiance of each hotel was so incredibly invigorating.  Maybe it had to do with extra oxygen they pump into the hotels.

Dave looking handsome at the sports bar.

Here I am waiting on Dave to get ready for the Prince tribute show (which was amazing by the way) and what better thing to do than take selfies apparently.  See girls don't always take the longest to get ready.

And here we are being overly touristy and goofy at the Hershey store.  At least we have fun!

And some more pictures of us looking cute of course.

The Bellagio fountains were my favorite.  What a spectacular show that I could've sat and watched all night long.  It was quite tranquil and definitely a Las Vegas must.

Our last night in Vegas we ate dinner at the Seafood Shack.  Again I'm not sure if the following pictures are from the extra oxygen they pump into the hotels (I swear you're never tired in Vegas), the mint mojito or that we are just naturally goofy people.  Likely a combination of all three.

After dinner we took a bus down to the Freemont Street Experience.  That was definitely an experience alright.  The lights, the costumes, the acts, the drunkeness...pure craziness in a 3 block stretch.  The canopy light shows were excellent but next time I'd like to zipline down it!!

Not only was this downtown experience phenomenal but we found our Christmas tree ornament...DOUBLE SCORE!!  Every time we take a trip together we buy a Christmas tree ornament so it was fun to find that gem on our last night.  AND one of the biggest events of my life and of course Vegas had it, drum roll please....first time ever in my life I have found something with my name already on it!!!  Vegas you scored major points for this alone.

We topped that night off with frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity.

All good things must come to an end.  Here we are the morning of our flight home in our matching Prince Show t-shirts.

Vegas you were so incredibly good to us even though we didn't win any money.  It was the PERFECT way to celebrate 10 years of marriage.  We look forward to our return and until then, keep shining baby!

Best. Dad. Ever.

Hands down.  No question.  Enough said.

Movie night

We came up with the idea of taking the kids to "movie in the park" but the rain forced us to do "movie in the living room".  It's a good thing because they watched the movie for about 20 minutes and decided that was enough laying still.

Farm Fun

We drove up to Dave's family farm in Princeton, MN for breakfast and a tour of the dairy farm.  We all had a blast but both kids got a little antsy on the hayride.  Why do I look around and see all these other kids sitting so quietly throughout the hayride tour and mine are trying to throw hay while the other one is crying?!  We do loud really well!! Every other part was fun at least.  Oh and cool side note they were passing out string cheese from the Burnett Dairy!  How cool is that?!  I have a sneaking suspicion they supply their milk there.

Best buddies

When we moved to Waconia, we originally found a different place for the kids to go to daycare however they didn't have spots for both children so we were put on a waiting list. We recently got a call from them saying they had spots available for both Caleb and Zoe. We were considering the switch and actually put our notice in at their current daycare but I was having a hard time with this because Caleb has a best buddy...and I mean BEST buddy, at his current daycare.  My heart ultimately didn't feel right about making the switch to the new daycare so we kept the kids at the same place. I am so glad that we did because these two buddies are the cutest friends I've ever seen.
