1 month/2 months

So everyone kept telling me that I wouldn't take as many pictures or document as many things with the second child and I was in disbelief and said I totally would. Well I am now eating my words as this post is for both Zoe turning one month and two months old. Don't worry Zoe, I love you just as much as Caleb but have you seen him? He's a handful and keeps us busy!!  

These first two months have been fun, exhausting and amazing all at the same time.  Thankfully Zoe started sleeping 11 hours at night this past week which definitely helps for getting more rest.  Caleb loves Zoe so much, sometimes a little too much as he's still trying to understand what gentle means.  He loves feeding her, giving her the pacifier when she cries, covering her up with a blanket and giving her kisses on the head.  I've enjoyed snuggling with her as much as possible before I return to work in a couple weeks.

Zoe, I love the little coos and gurgles you are beginning to make.  We have some really great and interesting conversations.  :) I also enjoy your big grin when you see me it absolutely warms my heart.  I love you so much, you are the perfect addition to our little family.  God has truly blessed us!

Thank you Jesus!

Last night Caleb couldn't find his little green football so we told him that he could say "Thank you Jesus for my football" and that Jesus would help him find the football.  The bible says when we ask we shall receive.  So shortly after Caleb says "Hey Jesus! Do you know where my football at?"  It definitely made Dave and I laugh!!  Sure enough though, Caleb found his green football.  Praise the Lord for Matthew 7:7-8.  Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

A little late on this post but Caleb wanted to wish you a happy new year!!

Don't worry you don't have to call child services on us it's just sparkling water.  May your 2015 be blessed with lots of love, an abundance of happiness and dreams/goals achieved!!

Little lady

This little lady makes me smile.  Zoe you are so precious and absolutely beautiful!!

I've enjoyed getting major snuggle time with little miss Zoe.  Thank you daddy for taking great care of Caleb so I can do this...

Big bro

Caleb loves his little sister...most of the time.  Usually he gives her kisses on top of the head.  Only a couple times have we found him hitting her legs or pulling her arms.  I don't think he realizes the true meaning of gentle, or maybe it's rather a matter of not listening.  Likely the latter. He also likes to tell her what he's doing, like "Zoe I go shoot jumpers" or "We watch Woody and Buzz Zoe".  He also tells her he loves her which makes my heart sing.  

More Christmas Fun

Caleb is practicing to be Santa.  First in the sleigh at church and then in Santa's chair in Wayzata.

We enjoyed a fun filled night in Wayzata where they had reindeer to pet, hot cider and cookies, Christmas tree lighting and a parade.  Caleb scored a candy cane from the parade and decided "mmmm dats good".

For Christmas, Dave's family came over to our house and then the Saturday after Christmas we headed up to my parents for the day.  Presents were not lacking but most importantly the presence of family was the best part.  Spending time with family is priceless.

Caleb and Zoe got J's for Christmas from grandpa Harley and grandma Patty.  They will look cute in their new kicks.

We celebrated a wonderful Christmas season thanks to everyone who was a part of it and for making it incredibly special!!
