Backwards hat

Love this guy in a backwards flat billed hat.  It's one of the things that got me when we first met.  XOXO!

What will he be?

Just wanted to post about this handsome fella.

Is he a mailman?

Or is he a fireman?

Or what about a hairstylist...with a heart necklace?

Maybe an underwear model?

Or just a model in general?

A shoe repairman?

Or a chiropractor?

Is he a zookeeper?

Or a superhero?!!

Spring means...

1. Sidewalk chalk filled driveways.

2. Strollers even if sometimes it's in the house.

3. Police car shopping carts.

4. And apparently Caleb picking dead flowers for me.

5. Walks by the lake

6. Parks

WE LOVE SPRING!!!

TMNT best buddies

Caleb still wears his TMNT hat that he got from Uncle Dan, Auntie Emily and cousin Kaylin for his first birthday.  Such a stud.

Caleb and his best friend at preschool even coordinated to wear matching hats to school on the same day.  They are such best friends that they even coordinate wearing comfy pants on the same day.  How cute is that?!

Caleb made this at school...

Easter

Happy belated Easter everyone!!  Kids got all jazzed up but to take an actual good picture with the two of them looking at the same time is near impossible.  It usually ends with me being frustrated and Dave telling me to calm down.  Oh well, it's reality in the pictures I guess.

The traditional Easter egg hunt at my parents was fun!  Good thing my mom labeled the pink ones as Zoe's eggs otherwise Zoe might have ended with an empty basket.  Check out their hunt below.

There was definitely no shortage of treats either.

"Hey Uncle Bud, what's outside?!"

The picture below makes up for all the pictures that didn't turn out.  My heart is smiling.  "Zoe let me help you with your bow".  Jesus, the real meaning of Easter, shines through in this picture.

Snuggle bug

Zoe pulled through this yucky cold virus she had over the past couple weeks, praise the Lord.  My faith was tested during this time and I kept reminding myself that God heals and that we stand on Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.  I was having a rough day with a bit of anxiety because I felt that it was too long for her to be having the symptoms she was having.  So I asked the Holy Spirit what I needed to do to calm my nerves and He told me to listen to Overcomer by Mandisa.  I put my headphones on and guess what song was already playing on Spotify?!  Overcomer by Mandisa!!  How amazing is that.  Just a reminder from God saying "Be still and know that I am God".  Beyond powerful and completely moving.  My anxiety was gone.

I'm happy to say my smiley girl is back!  Hallelujah!! One thing I didn't mind during her sickness though was all the cuddles!!  My little snuggle bug.  I love you Zoe.

Tucker

My parents and brother had this wonderful dog named Tucker.  Caleb became really good buddies with Tucker when we lived there for 6 months.  They would wander out into the garden and weeds on a daily basis.  Tucker was a true sweetheart, constantly letting Caleb jump on him, pull his tail (tisk tisk Caleb) and follow him around everywhere.  Caleb would often tell me, "Mommy, Tucker is my best buddy ever", which of course made my heart smile.

A couple months ago, Tucker wasn't doing well, so he left us and went up to heaven.  I had to explain this to Caleb because we were headed up to my parents and Tucker wasn't going to be there.  He even asked before we left "and I get to see Tucker, right?".  I had to remind him that Tucker was in heaven so he wouldn't be at my parents.  He seemed sad but I don't think he could quite understand.  He still prays every night for Tucker.  Their bond was real.  Very real.  To this day, if Caleb sees a dog, he tells us "my dog Tucker is up in heaven".

Until we get a dog, Tucker will forever be in this little boys heart.
