It's bracket time! Every year Dave and I fill out brackets because it makes watching the NCAA tournament that much more fun. Whether it's rooting for underdogs or number one seeds or teams that you've never seen play before, you all of a sudden become their biggest fan. I remember a couple years ago I was extremely frustrated with my bracket so I crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage. Not even five minutes later I walked over to the garbage, pulled my bracket back out and started unfolding it. I clearly don't like losing and I don't apologize for that. :) We heard this from our friends but I thought it was hilarious and pretty much sums up my attitude....How do you spell fun?? W-I-N :)
Dave and I both have very competitive spirits, we grew up playing sports and watching our favorite teams. I believe having a competitive drive is important and it doesn't just have to be in sports, it could be in music or theatre or science, etc. It's what makes us want to be better and do better! The most impactful people in this world didn't just play for fun or play to tie...no they played to WIN! I was very blessed to be a part of an amazing volleyball team growing up and now to be a part of an awesome business team. I believe both have helped shape me into the person I am today. Each team has helped me understand how to work with different types of people and their personalities. It's taught me how to take responsibility for my part but also taught me the importance and meaning of synergy. I've learned about goal setting and having big dreams! That it's okay to fail as long as you get back up, learn from it and try again. It has also brought me a LOT of laughter, fun and friendships! The attributes I learned from being a part of a team have carried over into all areas of my life and I'm forever grateful for that.
I know not everyone enjoys sports but we certainly do and we have some big dreams and goals that revolve around sports. Just a few are to go to the Olympics, watch a Wimbledon Championship Match, and to have season court side tickets for the T-Wolves!! We are excited to accomplish those dreams!! Caleb, I just want you to know that being a part of a team is a blessing and we encourage you to DREAM BIG! Only God knows, but we could be watching you in the NCAA tournament in the future!! Until then, you'll be a Gophadger fan!
