Orchids

My mom and I went to an Orchid show and we saw so many variations of orchids.  We even found out that the MN state flower the Lady Slipper is in the orchid family.

My mom bought an orchid to test her flower growing skills.  I have no doubt that she will keep it alive and well.  If you haven't seen my parents place, she has beautiful flower gardens.   Ok check out some of the gorgeous orchids we saw at the show!

Easter part 2

We kicked off our Easter weekend with an Easter egg hunt over at Battle Creek Park.  Caleb was a bit slower than many of the other kids but he didn't care he had a blast!  He found an Easter egg with a winning prize ticket in it, which won him an Easter egg basket with a book, bunny and some other goodies in it.  We were too busy enjoying the hunt that we forgot to take some good pictures.

Afterwards we headed to Firehouse subs and we will definitely be going back there again because Caleb inhaled the turkey sandwich.

We then headed to Dave's parents for Family time, wiffleball, food and fun.

Coach dad was teaching Caleb how to play baseball.

Check out the video too...

Dave and Dan managed to get the wiffleball stuck up in the tree which then led to the baseball bat being stuck up in the tree.  Dan climbed the tree and they finally managed to get both the bat and ball out of the tree using a baseball.

Easter morning we headed to church where Mike and Lea Ann joined us.  Thanks for coming to church with us!

Later that afternoon Dave Caleb and I enjoyed the 70° weather!  We headed to Excelsior to hang out by Lake Minnetonka.

It was a great, fun-filled weekend but most importantly, Jesus is risen!!!  Hallelujah!

Easter part 1

Caleb visited with my parents last weekend while Dave and I headed to Louisville, KY for one of our business conferences.  When we arrived to their house in Grantsburg, grandpa Harley and uncle Bud were outside cleaning their trucks.  I decided to clean my car as well and Caleb was able to have fun with grandpa Harley using the power wash.

Caleb loves visiting grandma and grandpa because he gets spoiled with being able to run outside in the yard which we currently lack at the moment.  Grandma Patty planned Caleb's very first Easter egg hunt which he enjoyed!  While we were at conference my brother sent us this video which made us smile.

Thanks grandpa Harley, grandma Patty and uncle Bud for watching Caleb last weekend, we really appreciate it.  We love you!!!

Macy's Flower Show

We moseyed on downtown Minneapolis to Macy's Flower Show: The Secret Garden.  The flowers were beautiful and it was a great taste of what's just around the corner...at least I think spring has finally arrived?!  Pretty sure Caleb liked the flowers too since he wanted to touch and smell all of them.

Afterwards we walked around Minneapolis since it was in the 60s!  It was such a gorgeous day for taking a stroll downtown.

Lastly, in the spirit of spring and warm weather, we headed home for a little treat. :)

Shaving is for men

So the other day Caleb came up to me and was slightly whining.  I turned to see a toddler with blood on his mouth and hands.  I was wondering what in the world happened?!?  I then noticed Dave's shaver on the bathroom counter and Caleb's ladder pushed up against the counter.  I guess he was trying to be like daddy.  He cut his top lip "shaving" just a tiny bit but we all know how bad shaver cuts bleed.  Try holding a paper towel on a toddlers lip for more than 2 seconds...yeah it doesn't happen.  I found a solution!  I put Vaseline on his lip to help "seal" the cut.  It worked!  I then showed Caleb the razor and said that it's daddy's razor.  He sure keeps us on our toes.  Below is the best pic I could get.

Hello?

Just talking and texting...not while driving though.

XOXO

There must be a lot of hugs and kisses going on around here because they are the only two letters that we can't find anywhere.
